Thought I'd add a picture of my huge cosmos unfortunately I didn't take a photo until today when it's been weather battered still, it keeps on going! (just ignore collapsed gazebo etc in background )
This was the star in my garden on Saturday - after being very elusive a few days before, he decided to pose nicely on the white buddleia with three of his friends
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I have some roscoeas in flower now. The first came to me a long time ago labelled as something else, but I believe it to be R. x beesiana. The purple flushing is variable from year to year.
R. Red ghurka
R. purpurea hybrids."Royal purple" Much larger, and thicker stem. flowers look like painted silk.
