It's Cheerfulness RB. One of my favourites - has a lovely scent. It's probably a bit creamier than it looks in the pic. There's a yellow variety of it as well which is pretty - not a brash yellow, quite subtle.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Marion - that's splendid! They look so terrific when they have free rein in the right spot that I can almost forgive them for being a bit dull the rest of the year!
I had one in a previous garden which I trained along a boundary and up over the back door. Lovely when you came in and out. I had a clematis on the other side of the door (Rouge Cardinal) for summer flowering and the odd flower from the montana in autumn as well

This C.montana is entwined with a bourbon rose which is white and very scented and is just beginning as the six weeks flowering from the C.montana finishes.
This lovely crocosmia which has just opened, orange seems to be the in thing this year and although not a colour I traditionally go for it looks great in the shade beds.
My first blooms on this rose 'Claire Austin'. I'm hoping we'll get sun soon as I don't want the roses to be washed out in the same way the peonies have been!
And the indulgence of Mr Ratty in the top photo - whom I can't photograph clearly while he's standing on the gravel because the blasted gravel (which looks bleached white in every photo but is three colours) knocks out the white balance and I don't know how to adjust the camera to ignore the gravel!

My clematis montana has covered the garage roof with its pink flowers. The
picture is about a quarter of it.
