Lovely family gathering last night.Son no1 brought me two lovely alpines and added himself to the work roster in the back garden today. My grand-daughter brought me a Soup Mug with recipes My grandson and his girlfriend brought the wine and dark chocolate. I will have to look out all my tools now i have three sets of willing hands coming. I will harvest fruit while they are here - lots of plums and apples ready to pick.
My lst visitor has just left as the light was getting poor in the garden, the work they all did would have taken me a month. And some of it like lifting the canopy of a large holly tree I could not have done . I of course now have a stuffed green wheeliebin plus piles of prunings needing cut up smlle and stord in weed baskets till next Friday!
Forecast only to be 20 degrees at most today in Bristol so should be able to get a good deal of the debris from yesterday tidied. I want to get the bulk of it done before my daughter visits on Wednesday. However if it gets a lot warmer as forecast I will have to ditch that.
well it was forecast nice sunny weather here but just looked out of my window and guess what.............its raining , so no gardening for me today, but I'm off for a week now so hopefully we will get at least one dry day
