Oh dear flumpy.  Good job it is a fast day today - Ash Wednesday.  But you are sure to work it off in the garden.  We too have a few days of fine weather forecast but cold through the night so no doubt the greenhouse heater will switch itself on in the conservatory.  I hope to fill up the green wheeliebin today ready for emptying on Friday.   The sun is just appearing and we have broken cloud so blue sky here and there.  If the soil is dry enough I will try to plant another six perennial plants.

Three doronicums and three anthemis,Verdun.  It is fine weather for gardening.  I have filled up the green wheeliebin mostly with twigs I have picked up from the paths in the Butterfly garden and spinney blown down by Imogen and now in for some coffee before I tackle the planting.

Yes they are very sweet, Verdun.  Post has just arrived with a new right hearing aid from the clinic and new connector for my left one in case that is needed - exactly one week since I went to the surgery for help as I could not use the telephone to get any.  That is amazing and very efficient of the clinic and the post office - all for the price of two 2nd class stamps and my having the savvy to use snail mail rather than get someone else to come in office hours to ring the clinic or ring the local hospital for an appointment with the audiologist.  I think I could save the NHS millions with some of my ideas.  I have now turned down the TV and radio from max and looking forward to going out in the garden and singing with the birds.  Happy, happy, Marion today.

Brrr it is white grass and roofs this morning and still only-2 degrees so will be some time before I can venture out.  I did enjoy the television last night with my refreshed hearing aids.  It is so good to hear the presenters and actors not speaking as if they had a big plum in their mouth.  Such a pretty Scandinavian inspired bedroom the winning designer created on the Interior Design Challenge last night, though the Batman bedroom delighted the little boy who was the recipient.  I was sitting willing the judges to put both of them through to the next stage but my 'fluence didn't get through this time.  The children and I used to wave our hands at the screen and shout 'fluence, 'fluence at it to get our team to play better .  Great jubilation when it worked!I think I must try it on the frost to get it to melt.

Morning Marion, glad your happy with your hearing aids, my dad always forgets to put his in, especially when we all go out.

Marion I do that when its snowed or is frosty, in my mind I'm thinking come on melt melt : )

Well it's very cold here but dry for a change, I think the ground needs time to dry.

Hubby is off work now but full of a bad cold, the tender aches seem to have gone but has this irritating cough : /

Perhaps this spell of cold weather will kill off some of the germs flying around, flumpy.  He could try an old fashioned remedy- a little ball of butter rolled in sugar and placed on back of tongue to slide down throat slowly.
