I have reinstalled Windows 8.1 so now to see if I can find my pics again.  Yes they are all there but not the ones i took this morning.  Not to worry.

I had trouble with my emails after going back to 8.1 but I have sorted it now and here are some heatwave pictures from my friend's small city garden.imageimageimageimageimageimage

Your friend has certainly made the most of the available space.  It just shows what can be done.

Loving your friends flowers Marion, looks like your having the same weather as us, we've had the air conditioning on today and it's going to get hotter tomorrow : )

mid my sweet peas get to tall, can I cut them down? And will they still flower ?

Pinch out the tops as much as you like and they will grow side-shoots which will flower even more.

Thank you Marion, I didn't want to ruin my sweet peas, they are about 7ft now, must be all the rain we've been having : )

Yes mine are goning to reach the top of their ten feet bamboo canes i think Flumpy.  Sweet peas have loved the weather we have had,  We are forecast to reach 32 or even 34 today!  I have stopped swearing at my laptop now as I seem to have got things back to normal!

Too hot for me to garden today but it is lovely and bringing out all the flowers. Tomorrow my Gertrude Jekyll rose is coming to scent the front gate which has a trachelospermum jasminoides on one side.  The sweet peas up the drive are smelling beutiful too and the many lavender plants are all in full flower..  There are butterflies flying all over the garden today and birds coming in for water that i have not seen before including a new robin.
