Ordered my seed potatoes, onion sets and garlic runner bean seeds and tomato seeds so feeling virtuous thinking about growing my own veg although I have just been checking in my big chest freezer and the fridge freezer and I still have what looks like a year's supply of food from last year!

happymarion    I think my Mum's neighbour has hearing problems too. When all is quiet, I can often hear the mumble of TV/radio through the wall!

Your Secret Gardening Club plants are an absolute bargain. Are they good quality plants?

Top quality plants. Marygold.  I often amuse myself tracing where they come from by matching up the descriptions and they come from large nurseries like Crocus.  I have done my shopping and of course could not pass our flower shop with the great display of flowers for Valentines Day so treated myself to this begonia for the kitchen for £2.99.

Awe that's lovely Marion, I see the owl has got in on the photo image

  • Marion did you go to crow lane wearing a green coat? I walked past someone today who I thought looked like it might have been you, but i didn't like to say anything in case it wasn't and I went down as another loonpot haha

I am intrigued by the garden at the top of your street by the postbox. They have lots and lots of empty milk/juice cartons buried into the ground. Wonder what they're growing in them?

We grew bananas at the Botanic Garden, GWRS, both the edible kind like those and the one that is grown to make strong fibre for ropes.  No way could I ever get my conservatory that hot!
