Oh, I just refreshed the weather page and rain is no longer forecast! We'll see - it's pretty dark. Glad we fixed guttering to the shed yesterday in the brief dry spell.
Hello Marion, I'm really looking forward to reading this thread over the coming months
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
Welcome LG. Good to have your interest. I never dry up when it comes to writing about gardening in my garden. We have just had torrential rain and have a southwest wind so it may be on the way to you. Yes the sky is really black all round the bungalow so plenty more rain up there. Green wheeliebin goes out tonight for emptying tomorrow morning and as they forgot to come last week i must manage to get in out in a dry spell if we have one. I have a pile of prunings ready to go in as soon as it is empty.
Sun is out - fingers crossed it stays. If not I will do what mt mother used to do when she was bored, though in her case it was rearrange the furniture. I would come home very late from university, dog tired, and collapse into a chair that was no longer there! With me it is the plants. I think I should find all my succulents and group them together as they all get the same conditions. I deadheaded while it was pouring with rain outside and took two pics.
No sooner said than done. I found 19 pots, two babies on my Partridge aloe, and six cactus cuttings I had taken needing potting on. There are some more in sheltered places outdoors but it has gone very dark again.
Wow Marion your conservatory is like a mini garden centre and such a veriety too : ), can't wait to see all your new plants flowering in a couple of months. Well it's stopped raining here but only 4c so it may freeze tonight : / scrapers out in the morning I guess.

Dry right now, rain forecast soon. TORRENTIAL overnight last night. Everything very soggy (SE London).
Morning Marion, how nice you have pollinators in your garden at this time of year and so many different things flowering
I thought for a moment it was going to be dry here today, but I've just heard the rain start again on the conservatory roof
