The white aquilegias really  stand out Marion. Must get some for the shady area of the garden.

We are still enjoying summer weatherimage

Welcome home fruitcake.  I am very well thank you.  i bet you are brown.  We seem to be going to start our summer properly at the weekend but today will suit me fine. warm, dry and sunny with light winds.  Yes there has been lots of beautiful blossom to snap this spring and everything is growing apace.  You are going to be very busy catching up!

My new cordless trimming shears I ordered yesterday arrived this morning so i have taken down the top of my box hedge about 4inches and started on the very long lonicera hedge that encroaches from my neighbour;s garden.  It will be fine for the lower parts but I will use the hand shears for the bits above  my shoulders.  I wore boots, gloves and goggles but could not find a mask as advised.  The boy next door has gone to see if he can find a little bottle to give me some oil to keep the blades in good nick.    I was worried about my hearing aids but the noise was very mild so can keep them in.  I must go on line to find some masks as air pollution when it is bad does stop me gardening or doing anything outside as it affects my heart.  Better safe than sorry and hedges do harbour a lot of dust.

Fruitcake, superb!  I was wondering where to buy masks.  The hedge next door is very dusty as it has not been touched since I did it last spring.  Do pop in next time you are over here.  Best to come round the back as i don't hear anyone at the front door if I am in the kitchen or garden.

Green wheeliebin just been emptied by the sound of things so must get out and fill it up again.  Weather set fair for all day as dry , warm and mostly sunny.  Conservatory looking tidier as i get the tender subjects out for the summer and i have twelve Gardener's Delight tomato plants romping away in their final pots.  Last topping up of early potatoes in planter today.  The ones in the raised beds are doing well too.
