Pics from my garden this lovely warm summer evening.  First two are Primula chungiensis, a candelabra primula new to me this year.

That's a lovely primula, Marion.  Reddish flower "tube" really sets off the yellow petals.

A lovely day in the garden here, doing all sorts of little jobs - weeding, watering, pruning, planting and sowing more veg.  It was too windy for the midges, which was a bonus!

Another ;lovely day of good gardening weather ahead with rain forecast for this evening so will just water pots and leave rest to the weather.  My potatoes in potato planters are growing an inch or two a day.  It is so invigorating to see such Sturdy growth till you cast your eye on the weeds which are romping away.  Still the buttercups look lovely.

They do indeed, Marion!  I'm about to go out and plant some buttercups, red campion and hawkweed in the steep grassy bank behind the house.  They'll look great with the bluebells.

Good morning , extremely windy , heavy rain forecast this afternoon

Just took 2 potatoe sacks out of g/h , no more room for soil and foliage nice and tall , certainly look promising but never know until you empty it , grow these in compost for village show

Have a good day in garden

We are off on holiday from Thursday so no gardening for a couple of weeks image

My goodness you will see a difference when you come home as the forecast is for lots of rain and warmth which makes everything grow like mad.  Have a lovely holiday and do not take any bad weather with you.

A few pics from the garden today.  It has gone quite gloomy so we may have rain before 6pm after all, but i did get a lot of work done. The bumblebees just love this pink rose which opens its flowers wide.

Rather damp in the garden but paths dry now.  Gloomy day forecast but 16 degrees so if it stays dry should get some work done.  Nothing looks like it needs watering so that is a job that won't need doing.

Have a lovely holiday GWRS.  I have just been to post my postal vote for the referendum and it is drizzling. So very dark too I think we may have heavier rain soon.  Tidying up and watering in the consevatory is all I shall be doing gardenwise today.
