I have just watched the ballroom dancing coming back to Bolton Palais de Dance and they had a trip to Blackpool where I danced to Geraldo's Orchestra when I was 19 or twenty. Yes Snow, Happy times.
A bit drier but colder today though rain is forecast for ten o'clock or so . It looks like a day in my raincoat popping out when the sun shines. Wheeliebin does not get emptied till Monday morning because of the holidays so the prunings are piling up waiting to be chopped up into it when empty. Appeal from the Botanic Garden this morning for plants for the plant stall at the Easter opening weekend so shall have to get to work making a dedicated area for those pots and finding labels to clean. It is not just Easter eggs that start just after Xmas!
Good morning! I ventured out into the garden for half an hour yesterday, to pick pesky bits of moss out of the saxifrages, and was rewarded with wafts of scent from the Sarcococca ruscifolia which is just opening its first flowers. Daphne mezereum is on the point of adding fragrance from the other side of the lawn, too.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
GWRS Do not let two left feet stop you dancing. I had lots of black toenails from my encounters with learners who thought they had - they all learned to love dancing eventually and enjoyed the learning process!!! Liriodendton is it not amazing how far the sarcococca scent travels? Love the daphnes.
A very wet garden to look out on again this morning and a yellow warning for lots of rain from now till noon tomorrow from the Met. office. It is still mild but we have been warned that will not be for long now. The greenhouse heater had come on in the night so temperature must have dropped to 5 in the conservatory. Perhaps there may be some bright spells today and tomorrow to let me take some pics before the wintry weather hits us.

Morning Marion, hope all is well with you today
Yes its a soggy start here today, not much can be done outside.
Good idea about taking some pics before the co!d snap arrives and finishes off any that have been bravely hanging on.
It's been such an extremely mild season that I would be good to record it on my online garden photo diary.
Have a good day and keep dry!!
