These  are the seedlings in my GH - what I have is a plastic GH inside my 'real' one. Means I can move them out of the house quicker. - well that's the theory

Wet and cold here too Beaus. Contemplating a bit of digging.....or maybe another hot cuppa!

    It's grim out there image

Do need to go to GH to find some small pots but walking the distance between kitchen door and GH door is not very enticing.

Yesterday I pricked out my zinnias. Did leave me wondering how many flowers you can get from a plant at anyone time. Fairly sure I will need to sow more.

Same with sunflowers, again not sown yet but how many of each variety should I sow, how many flowers AND where on earth will I plant them allimage

Tough questions Matty but great to have such quandries  a?! image

As it is so horrible I may sow a sample of sunflowers to see how long they take to germinate. The propagator is fairly empty waiting for them. That may answer a couple of questions - or not!image

Will you do one to a pot? Last year the town next to us used sunflowers in their Street displays.  What they did was plant loads behind the street name signs, looked blooming gorgeous. Def gonna have a go this year with growing them on mass image

I have planted sunflowers, I had 5 varieties - only 2 were shop bought, rest were 'free with' packets.

I have put them in one of those module trays with 40 planting holes so 8 of each in the hope I get 6. I will pot them on into plastic drinking cups which are about the right size, then plant some into garden but some into containers

That is the plan - with my previous success with them it could be all 'pie in the sky'. I have already said that for wedding next year we may just buy some bunches from the local SM - didn't go down very well with daughter imageimageimage
