I have very few GG. Just pleased to have some. Seem to take 3-4 weeks but not really timed it this time

  • Matty, I have sown 9 pots of sweet peas about two weeks ago and they are only just coming though they take so long and I have no patience! I have also sown three types of lavender and that is taking ages to grow though!! I covered them over with a thin layer of compost which your not meant to do!! I am and impatient gardener!!

Lavender may take some time as it's a shrub

Sweet peas I find suddenly appear but don't take too long - good luck.

I sowed some in pots in January and just put a few in as a back up direct to soil a couple of days ago.

  • Yeah, I've got seedlings coming up now, would you do one seed per plant? Sweet peas so that I looked in the morning and there was nothing there and then looked in the evening and found I had some coming up!! image yay!!!

Hi all I've been out of the loop on this thread for a wee while.  But Planted out all my annuals and summer bulbs at the weekend in my new cutting patch.  I've got sweet peas, sunflowers, gladiolius, lilies, antirrhinum, cosmos, rudbeckia, zinnias, nicotiana, Ammi majus, dill, euphorbia Oblongata, Tithonia.  Have I gone over the top!  Oh, and I also have potatoes, peas and broad beans in there.  And dahlias growing In pots.   It's been loads of work and a few failures, but hopefully will come good.
