Split a pot of echinacea purpurea which has been in a terracotta pot on the patio for years into three and planted in the border. Split and moved an achillea to the same border. Pulled up long grass which had grown through the plastic mesh around pond, removed some hornwort and duck weed. Used some sharp sand to fill along the grass edge of some plastic border edging stuff and to raise the height of some stepping stones. I did have some help from my Mum and Husband though as I have a baby due tomorrow (I was trying to encourage him out)!
Had a huge bonfire to dispose of all the branches, brambles and ivy from clearing the new cutting garden. Then planted some cobea scandens and chillis in a propagator. It was good to start something off for the new growing season.
