If I see another margarita or blade of couch grass it will be too soon only just come inside now I'm off for a soak and don jimjams and if another late night political canvasser knocks the door I'll turn the sound up on the t.v. wow thats got that off my chest perhaps a little glass of something with ice is on the cards??????
Weeded the borders and potted up the last few seedlings. Finished off by watering the pots etc. No more gardening until Saturday off 'up north' for a couple of days.
nearme then yvie? i did lots of pricking out today ( my m& d here so they can keep Captain Cuteness occupied! ) helped by my 'big' girl, repotted a clematis, mulched roses, sprinkled a bit of feed round whatever needed it,watered reseeded lawn like a good girl...haven't missed watering a day since it was sown, a mix of seed for shady areas and quick seeding sown 9 days ago...not much happening...
Planted 3 Geranium Anne Folkard, Sowed runner beans in beds and in a pot under wigwams. Planted loads of violas in an old wheelbarrow , old buckets and watering cans... all with holes in them!!
Repositioned pots of hostas in shade on new terrace near house. Loads of watering. Have we ever had to do so much watering at this time of year before?
Had to water today in Hessle. Bought an evergreen fern for the north facing border, and a pretty white and pink fuschia, not hardy, but I couldn't resist it!

Wow what a lot of birds you have present in your garden.
I've done the lily beetle check, new plants watered and a mooch around whereby a catch the weeds.
