Tootles , ment to ask , let us known how you get on with growing gerainums from seeds , might have a go myself

No gardening today , but yesterday afternoon did some more tidying up , hellbores , grasses and herds , filled 3 bags up with cutting which we took to tip , as garden wheelie bin all ready full

The tip use to do scheme , where by after 6 trips you got a free bag of compost now stopped , shame as it was good stuff

Hoping to go to allottment tomorrow , cold but dry if forecast correct

    Happy gardening everybody image

  • 45 minutes in a sunny garden this morning before work and I have been smiling all day.

Planted out some white autumn flowering chrysanthemum shoots into a new border and a purple crysanth that is covered in lovely fresh green growth already in place of honesty. I forgot that as a biennial I won't have any honesty flowers this year, so need to fill the gap.

Also blocked up the tunnel next doors dog has dug with a big log. Fingers crossed he won't be able to move that.

Hoping it stays dry tomorrow morning so that I can tick off  few more jobs.

Hope the rain keeps away for everyone else too.

He might use the big log as a lever. After all, if he'd dug the tunnel with it, he can clearly handle it well. image

Methinks Gardening will get a miss today as it is covered with SNOW and still coming down from overcast skies here in the NE. Oh well we can sit and sort out the plants needed for this year, quite a few of mine are past their sell by date.

Snow here too but wet and not sticking.  Hibernating sort of day.

Snow's just started in Newark amongst heavy rain and biting winds.  My gardening will be confined to GW and catalogues.

yesterday I went out with my 2 year old helping me to dig some new little beds so as to cram in more flowers, we had lots of fun but we unearthed about 20 caterpillars, I made sure we covered them all, hoping they'll be ok

Bright and mostly sunny today. Wrapped worms up against the cold. I usually do this in Novemberish after I've dug the bean 'trench' but due to ankle surgery I'm all behind. They've been OK so far as it's been so mild. Also moved some plants to greenhouse and wrapped bubble wrap around bay tree pot.

Then went into front garden to collect litterimage Also cut down japanese anemones. Still needs to be tidied properly but today it was too cold as the front garden gets no sun in winter and is exposed to today's NW wind.

Hope you ankle is OK now Mg.

Snow changed to drizzle, then rain, then sleet and finally hail with a thunderstorm.  I got caught in that while at the supermarket and got hail down my neck.  Yuk!    Set to freeze next so maybe some trellis panel transplanting tomorrow but no gardening.
