The first I've ever seen too, fidget, even if it is virtual!
- Don't fancy wading in to rescue that bench buttercup - enjoying that the view, with hot chocolate, from the comfort of somewhere indoors would just suit me fine.
Flamethrower ~ weed gun ~ thingummygig (Dovefromabove). I'd kill myself with it ! I'm not safe with such thingys ! but thanks ~ & I'd make the Suffolk headlines with the damage I would be doing ! I think I'll learn to love the stuff ????
Gardening granny, I like that suggestion of salt on moss. Will give that a go tomorrow. & the pony with a cuppa ???? brilliant, but no. I mix his food with warmish water to warm him up inside ! I do love him !
Finished digging the hole for "Teasing Georgia". Quite a job as rocks had to be dug up and the underneath soil wasn't very good. Added lots of rotted manure. Planted the rose. It's to grow up a stone pillar. Then cut off the old leaves off the Hellebores and an Epimedium.
Never seen an earth star before, or even heard of one.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I'm not too sure but where my moss/path is - there is an industrial hedge one side & veg patch the other & nothing in that as yet. I'm going to do it anyway !

Angie - if it's a path try sprinkling cheap household salt on it, but not too near the edges.
Fidget, I've spent most of my life out and about in the countryside and always wanted to see an earthstar but never have. Thanks for the photos
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

does the salt have any ill effects when it's washed onto adjoining soil? I ask because I don't know, I'm not suggesting it does.

..well it does for me Dyers.... I've gone a little further and ordered some Lavenders online... anything else seems a bit uncivilised right now....
