Just came indoors thought I'd achieved loads today untill I read your posts Wnter and Yvei??? still pleased with what I'vedone I can see where I've been, that's my benchmark
You posted that you had planted out Liatris I have some coming along big-time in modules but I'm not sure where they will thrive in the garden have you any tips??
Sorry about work Hostafan. I've almost forgotten how that went.
I moved a bit further along the chosen border. Slow work, hasn't been dug for years and every time I found a hawthorn/hazel/field maple seedling I dug it up and transplanted to a new piece of hedge. New piece of hedge at some distance from chosen border.
I'm hoping those merry-go-round days are over Yvie
My intention was to move one and I even said no to a planting opportunity that arose because it would have meant moving a recently moved rosemary but Verdun's words haunt me these days, make sure you give shrubs enough room
It's your fault Verdun
Saying that,I'm mighty pleased with the last changes, everything else is now about planting gaps with potted plants
OOh wow that was a busy day... right peas, carrots and beans finally in along with sunflower seeds... lots of weeding done too ... time to relax ... I really love my garden
Planted a few Sambucus whips into the corner of the garden tht the compost bins had been on for the last few years. Left all the grubs and half worms I disturbed on the turf as I went. The garden Robin dive bombed me more than once getting in before the blackies. Good day.
Nine more to go and that's one of the smaller ones.
Finished potting up the over 300 plug plants that arrived yesterday. Sowed lettuces, borage and dill. Then went and finished the end bed that I was weeding and edging in the flower garden. Planted Helianthus "Happy Days", Geum "Borisii, a day lily, Salvia "Hot Lips" and some blue and yellow pansies.
Before and after.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I love 'before and after' photos, Busy-Lizzie. Gives you a real good feeling, and you can SEE you have achieved something. You certainly did achieve something there.

Worked 8-5 to-day so no gardening. A quick check in the tunnel shows peppers germinating.
