All of the Christmas shenanigans are getting a bit much today so I'd like nothing more than to potter about outside in the garden. I picked some pelargoniums yesterday and did a little vase which is very cheerful. Also went to the garden centre yesterday and they have seed potatoes in. Is a bit early for them or are folks chitting already?
Daffs are poking through. Might clean some labels off, and wash some pots.
I went to do some digging on the allotment, but the soil is too wet, so I at least put grease bands on the fruit trees.
There were three blokes building a greenhouse and a shed (and swearing) on one of the other plots. They put the shed on the north side of the greenhouse and, as if that wasn't not bad enough, it's a north-facing slope, so even though the shed is about the same height as the greenhouse and several meters away, it's still going to shade the greenhouse quite a bit. I did mention it to them, but they seemed to think they knew what they were doing. I have my doubts, but what do I know, eh?

Thanks, GWRS!
Checked on everything in the greenhouse. Ami doing really well, as are the lupins. But nervousness about a cold spell whipping things out.
Must remember to pick the carrots before they go off.

It's frustrating, isn't it. It was sunny and warm today and yet I couldn't get any work done.
I picked some hellebores to take to a friend. Does that count?
and filled the bird feeders
