Just come indoors looks like rain might be on its wayonly a few spots so far.
Munched long bed, weeded wild flower patch, only problem is I'm not very good on weed identity found a mega red ant nest under clematis pot so decanted it and planted it direct into soil a bit behind but not dead The chairman has been sorting wall troughs and has suggested we get another GH he wants more space because I have sooooooooo many seedlings
I grow loads of dahlias, some in pots. I repotted the potty ones today. Old MPC put on raised beds. Also got plants ready for tomorrow's plant sale in the village hall, where we raise funds for the Hortisoc.
While cutting the hedge, I found a lonely looking Sarcococca hookeriana I had completely forgotten about lost behind a Dicentra (which is now huge) so moved it to a shady spot near the conservatory so I can enjoy it in the winter.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Interesting day in the garden, removing raspberry suckers from all over the place, and rosebay willowherb from the raspberries. Like the rest of you, I've also been mulching; almost used up my carefully-hoarded stash of compost and leaf mould. Then pricked out yellow rattle seedlings, carefully inserting a small grass plant with each one (they're semi parasitic). Remains to be seen if they'll establish on my bank, or if it's not sunny enough.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Went out this morning to finish digging over the veg patch but ended up weeding everywhere but, just kept seeing one more weed that needed oiking out. Veg patch does need to be a morning job too really as it bakes in the afternoons. Must try harder to stay focused.

I went out and put the shears around some of the long grass around my borders, but that was it. I'm feeling too lazy because the sun wasn't shining and its overcast. If the sun had been shining that would have been an entirely different matter. I would have got the mower out, but it looks dark and threatening so I'm not risking it! When the sun is shining I want to be out there all day (so does the dog! - he likes to supervise)
Took some cuttings from my Dahlias, topped up the compost on my Taters! Also decided that I want to grow some Melons in the Greenhouse, so sowed some Canteloupe seeds....fingers crossed!

Looks like the south coasts rain has gotten lost and turned up in Scotland. It's all Ms Sturgeons fault! ( Daily Mail™)

Plant sale today in village hall... seemed to go well, but don't yet know exactly how much we have raised.
