Walked around garden, kicked some fallen apples, very satisfying! No snowdrops to be seen, the muntjac tend to eat the crocus and the leaves and flowers have not appeared this year.
do muntjac eat snowdrops?
Removed some weeds from round the roses. Very cold and damp, heard and saw the woodpecker high up in the sycamore tree. Rain all day tomorrow and it will get warmer, hurrah

Other than defrosting the bird bath they'll be no gardening for me - frozen solid here!
Was hoping to go in garden today but hardest frost so far and freezing fog so in door jobs today
sorted the chicks out water frozen,
ordered some seeds 99p and free postage
shed tidy later and some more clearing of borders .
Solid white frost here in the NE and fog with it, shopping to do so garden goes on the back burner.

Great news Frank.
Thanks GWRS. Planning a trip to the garden centre Saturday, so I will take a look.
I'll certainly let you know how I get on, with pics hopefully!
freezing fog here as well but half a laurel tree, felled yesterday, required chopping and shredding. So we did it. Nasty
But job done
In the sticks near Peterborough
Too cold for pruning and groud too wet for anything else - so I'm here
And it's just started raining again.
Hello , managed to do some jobs in garden and even popped up to allotment for an hour , hoping to go up to allotment at the weekend
