Everything got a good drink last night. Absolutely poured down and was quite windy too.  Hoping the water butts have filled back up.

got to go into the office today (big booooooooo). Will be dreaming of being in the greenhouse all day. However, got a lunch with a lovely pal who is also into gardening (big yipppppeeeeee)!

Verdun, you will surely pay for all the overeating unless you get LOTS of work done in the garden this season!  Seriously though, it seems the thing that gardeners love best next to plants is CAKE!

Took a couple of days leave and typically it rained for half the day!  image

Still, I managed to get lots more seeds sown and had a couple of deliveries, including two bare-root globe artichokes - heaven knows where I'm going to put those as I know they grow to over a metre in all directions.. The rhubarb is finally up;  2 out of 3 crowns planted in the Autumn.  The squirrels dug up and ate the 3rd crown, as they did the previous 3 I planted the previous year, the little b*ggers!  Plan is to get the spuds in tomorrow.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Have pruned and tied up 2 1/2 Albertine roses full of prickles, then I realised it was raining and I was wet.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Pretty windy here today and just not very ideal forbgardens as the temperature felt as if it was possibly in the minus figures .Anyway, as I was in the garden I thought I would divide a large clump of agapanthus that I need to plant in an area of  the same plant to create a deep blue wave of colour in the summer. Will possibly not get any further garden done for the next 2 days as the weather is changing back to winter over the week end

    Happy Gardening

Excuse spelling errors mean't to say gardening as opposed to garden

love my iPad but seem to make a lot of errors when blogging on it. Will hopefully get better with use

  • Wedding Anniversary today.  Hubby bought me a beautiful necklace and earrings set, I bought him a bulk load of gravel for edging the lawn.  What a beautiful partnership…. Perfect!  image
