I bought a few plants from a garden centre that's closing down. Now about to make a cuppa and get the big book out to look up what I have bought!  I love buying random plants as every now and then it results in discovering a new favourite that I'd never have normally purchased.

  • Planted all of the bare-root strawberries and harvested (almost) the last of the tomatoes:

All I did was fit the new gate latch - not really gardening - and clearing away the weevil ridden compost from yesterday, now that the birds have eaten them image

I was slightly busy till mid afternoon though  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • I'm in a bit of a frost pocket primrose so they were pretty late going into the GH.  I bet you were eating yours a month before me though! image

Thanks Bob - it was a great day to be out. That's when it makes up for all the days you see nothing because of cloud, rain and clag! image

I'm very lucky to be able to do it - and hope to do it for as many years as I can manage  image

  • What plants did you get Tootles?image

    Toms look great Bobimage

I was only slightly in the zone today, bought some compost and horse poo and picked up some bargain basement plants at b&q. Apparently they are getting composted at the end of the week so I ended up with 7 which the plant dude kindly marked down to 50p/plantimage All big pots too. Administered some first aid and then stood them where they'll be planted when I get around to it. Surprisingly easy to melt 7 plants into a small, already full gardenimage
