Thks for the replies re moss, nearest the house I mite try boiling water. (It wud be cold by the time I got half way up !). & get some moss killer next time in town. I did try & like it Nutcutlet but 2 years on it was breaking the path up as its old concrete. Freezing here, really freezing but no snow ~ whew ,
Be careful if you use boiling water outside the house. In this cold weather you might find it freezes before it evaporates then you will have a mossy ice rink right outside your door!
Sunny, dry & still today (but very cold) - so I've been out there for 2 hours and dug up some more of my raspberry bed (I decided last summer I had made a mistake with the original planting so want to start again). Now feeling very virtuous if a little achey.
We moved here about 4 years ago & in our first summer (2011) I think I only saw about 6 worms in the whole garden. It was very rewarding today to see loads of the little darlings wriggling around - even in a small area. All that digging and soil improvement is starting to reap it's rewards
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

I planned - again.
The view from the back door this morning - so, No!
but very beautiful Buttercupdays.
Stunning views there Buttercup. No snow here but bitterly cold. I.ve got a very old pony & he's all wrapped up in his stable with his warmed up tea !
I've been thinking about it. Does that count?
Never thought of it like that Pansy. We call it the duck pond!
