Well done, Lunaria, that sounded a lot of work.

Busy morning. Planted out last years perennial wallflower cuttings, dug up a straggly Hebe and replaced it with a cutting I have been growing on for a couple of years.

Also divided a large clump of Persicaria Red Dragon, and positioned the divided parts in a bed next to the pond. Think they will look lovely next to a clump of Phalaris arundinacea.

Finally a bit more weeding and pruning, and I am ready for a lie down.

How can you lie there and think of England

My garden now has two red cordylines and one green and three or four different palms all out in the sun image

bee shrub was difficult to get out but it's out. Greenhouse cleaned inside and out, grapevines dealt with, and pruning back of brambles and trees from behind my fences. More seed sowing coming up this afternoon image

Nice to read everyone is getting busy, I've not got in the swing if it yet, seem to be working at half speed, but enjoying it. image

Veg plotted now rotavated, the clay is still a bit claggy but hopefully it will help dry it out now it has been gone over. Had a good sweep up, trimmed the honeysuckle, cut the grass paths and came in for a coffee. Think I might do some edging round the paths and have a good rake up. I'm out tomorrow and with rain possible according to the forecast on Sunday, going to make the most of what is left of today. If it rains Sunday I can be off to the potting shed without feeling guilty that there are lots of jobs to do outside.image

  • Not much  the last few days other than tending to seedlings and trying to get them some quality sunlight. I repotted a bulb and bulblets of some description, Sterilised some growing media, dried out some bagged, and loose silica gel since I had the oven on. Reapplied leaves on a border with poor bare soil to replace what has blown away (it's the neighbour's but it looks to the casual observer like it's mine). Planted some late garlic. Transplanted some strawberries. Made a 75mm polyiso cover for compost bin

  • Busy morning with children, popped into garden centre on way home and got a bargain reduction on tete a teteimage loads already but they have lots of buds to come. Also got 3/4/2 lupins lovely plants pink. Dug up and divided two yellow ones and potted up for planting in a new bed. Doesn't sound much now image but getting a little chilly and the sun is nearly over the yardarm that means tea timeimage

Wow, you can tell the weathers been kind today - busy busy busy everyone image

Today I cleared another metre square of overgrown bed (previous owners let 'Lilly of the valley' run wild and it's a sod to try and clear up now) I also potted on my tomatoes.

Most excitingly I bought a buddeja 'buzz' in the new candy pink colour and also picked up a geranium 'roxanne' (The RHS plant of the centenary!) both to be delivered in April.

Thompson and Morgan have 20% off at the moment so picked both up for a steal.

May the continue to shine for the weekend image
