This is some of the rubble we dug out of the new garden beds that our sneaky soil suppliers hid in the beds. We still can't work out how they did it without us seeing.
I'm still finding places where I can't dig a hole for a new plant. Hubby has to bring the big crowbar to get them out.
The barometer has dropped about an inch, and the clouds are building up - maybe we'll get some rain. another shot of the bales - Hubby's camera is better than my IPad.
I'm beginning to wonder about the disappearance of all my little birds (finches, robins, willy wagtails etc) in the last few weeks. We had so many and they were there every time I looked out the window. Can't help thinking there is a connection with the appearance of a pair of kookaburras that are just outside the window in the trees every day. Hmmm.! Not much I can do about it.
Just lots of deadheading after getting home tonight- gosh Pat E your bales are huge! Aways enjoyed farm holidays when I was a child and never came across bales that size.
Yes Flowes I t r. The big bales seem to be the preferred type locally. I sometimes see them using the old size baling machine, but I suspect it is reserved for only top grade lucerne, which can then be sold for a good profit. This stuff in our bales is mostly dry grass with no nutritional value to livestock. We don't have goats now, so we'll only be using it to fill up potholes and other eroded sites etc.
Just had some slabs layed in centre of lawn , for the garden furniture , did think of doing myself but wanted large slabs to match the others I have and it slopes , so glad I got somebody to do it
Will need to tidy up but leaving it for a few days for the cement to dry
Runny beak , potatoes and carrots look good and I am sure they will taste good ad well
just done a quick hour in garden , tidying up from work man and moved some outdoor pots of tomatoes
aren't the nights drawing in
Dahlias , have a bed of them at allottment , just in front of patio and yes , really great , did suggest to o/h if she would like to cut some for house but declined , they where going to be thrown away so I had them
