Today we had a  change from cutting and shredding blackthorn/bramble/briar.

We did dogwood, field maple, hornbeam and a dead conifer.

But this afternoon I went out and cut more blackthorn, still to shredimage

Cleared 3 wheelbarrow loads of moss off the veggie garden paths. Where did it all come from? Think it started last winter when it rained all the time. But was easy to rake up as it had gone all loose because of the frosts. Cleared an area in the far corner under the wall, north facing, and covered with weed suppressant fabric to put my flower pot storage chest on.

    True KEF

But I'd like a bit of proper gardening now, weeding and planting maybe.

  • Cleared the burnable remains of a deceased shed - my first bonfire, right at the end of the field, so lots of long-distance yomping with shed bits.  Then put sausages and peppers on the bonfire, and had a cup of tea (water boiled over fire too). Al fresco dining, at its very best!!image

Nice Fieldtamer. Cooking is what you don't get with a shredder (except when I put dry grass stems through it and everything got tangled and the belt cookedimage )

Cut back a few shrubs, planted Hydrangea Limelight, moved a few plants and edged the lawn.  Got some tidying up to do tomorrow and planning on pruning the wisteria.

My new water butt arrived so that's tomorrow's job. Bought 3 little bunches of snowdrops in the green for £1 each, a tiny little fir tree for my rockery and hopefully a gorgeous blue clematis to grow on an obelisk so I was busy gardening with my purse - does that countimage
