Did somemore tidying today - ripped up the noodle mat of red clover and saved a few plants as the clover patch is getting relocated this year. Fixed the baskets back to the fence that has now been repaired after the winds. There's nothing much in them but it saves space in the shed.
CN, I'm in Tyne and Wear - it's not the bulbs I can see that I'm bothered about but I've already stood on one of the large alliums as it was thinly covered in some mulch and hacked off the top of a daffodil due to some slapdash weeding
As soon as you said Tyne and Wear Victoria Sponge my brain read the rest of your post with an accent! My mums side is from Hartlepool and I love their accent. We make my Grandma say certain words just to hear it at its best. The Nottingham accent doesn't sound nearly as soothing!
No chance of gardening today as it has been hurling with rain. I've had to cancel the appointment I had with the man who cuts the height of my mixed hedge as well - hopefully tomorrow will be nice as I want to get the hedge cut before nesting time.
Overcast day but dry and not too wintery. Tidied up a lot today, so many areas looking tatty or littered by previous gardening.
So many tulip and alliums showing through now, Hellebores out and Saxifrage and Hebe pinguifolia flowering a bit
Pruned lower parts of Laurel to clean up the stems, (in a few weeks I will be pruning the top so it looks like a tree) and finished chopping back my Group 3s.
Still need to decide on so many PPPs (possible planting positions)
-6C again at 10am this morning so definitely no gardening. More such frosts expected during the week so just maintenance for me, messing with obelisks and fences and such as long as it stays dry.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I been busy today in the GH , sow 5 pots of Petunia - 3 pots of Busy Lizzie - Salvia - Gerbera - Primulia Vialli - Didiscus. Potted my 3 Canna rhizomes and my Canna seeds are germinating , started to chit my potatoes as well.
Had 72 bags of compost and FYM delivered today. Unfortunately the pallet (which was stacked 6ft tall) was left in the road rather than put on my drive, so I have just got in after moving the lot.. I'll certainly sleep well tonight, but whether I can get up tomorrow morning is another matter!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
72 bags of compost wow I want some , have you got a huge project on the horizon Bob unless you got a huge garden? it must of cost you a fare bit as well
