Have at last done some gardening. Weeded the tomatoes in the GH, fed them, watered them, put out mouse traps. Deadheaded, weeded and tidied up in the flower garden, 2 barrows full.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Too hot and dry.  We had a bit of rain on Tuesday morning so I spent 5 hours weeding a long, curving border and yesterday I cut the grass but nothing yet today.

Will pick a cabbage later and water the toms.

Need a good downpour but preferably without gales and hail tornadoes.

Turned into a lovely and warm sunny afternoon , had a down pour last night , everything in the garden growing well except tomatoes , outdoor and those in greenhouse , infact not even that main green ones either , strange !

Wonder how everybody else is doing with there toms ?image

  • hopeless year for tomatoes!! cold may and june, only just getting some now.

helped my dad nearly kill himself by getting out an old shrub -  he thinks he's 21 not 81 - then went to a gardening job and had a red face after 2 much sun! didn't think it would be so hot and forgot my hat.

looking forward to a day off tomorrow, going to the garden centre woo hoo!!
