And we'd be glad to welcome them and you, Flumpy. (Ahem, a bit different from 200 years ago). Should smile when I say that. But look at what good strong stock we now have here. All you gardeners should appreciate the importance of good, strong stock. Should I mention cricket? Perhaps not. Best stop now before I get jumped on by all the cricket fans. Anyone for cycling? The Vuelta is starting soon. More late nights I guess, for us.
Good evening Pat, your making me laugh he he, thank you on welcoming us Pat, my Grandads brother move to OZ after the war but no one had heard from him since so we could have more family over there : ), how's poodles by the way?
She's busy sleeping beside me on the lounge, and smelling much sweeter than her last effort of rolling in something ripe! Two days ago. Hope you all are having a good gardening day.
I did my volunteer stint at the art gallery again this afternoon. It is so boring sometimes and today was no better. I actually closed up a bit early, because there weren't any people coming in. They stand outside the window, look from one side to the other, then turn and walk off. I feel like jumping up and telling them that there is no charge for coming and looking (and of course passing the time of day with me). Don't mind me, it really irritates me sometimes. The main trouble I think is that in this arcade, there is a hairdresser as well as a cafe, and they both close at 3pm, so people don't seem to come up to that end of the arcade. They only go as far as the bakery and then go out.
Just reading back, Flumpy. Perhaps you should do a Who do you Think you Are type search for your missing granddad's brother. You might have some interesting relatives. That would be fun. They might even sponsor you to come out.
I did my allotted two square metres of perfume garden bed this morning in half the time it took me yesterday. The rain last night has really softened the soil beautifully.
Ho I bet it smells gorgeous Marion I wouldn't want to come out : ), I like it when it's rained and the sunshine, I don't know if it's my imagination but I think the smell comes out even more : )
Lost you Lyn. What book? I had four of my 7 children in the sixties so had no time for reading!!! I have been up the garden taking photographs and thinking how autumn colours are showing now.

You're amazing Marion. I wish I was as organised.
Wasn't that a book back in the '60's we all felt we needed to read Marion
