Goodness flumpy you were up late!  Damp out in the garden today but the forecast is for a mixed bunch of weather today with some heavy showers but also some good spells of sunshine.  I should take my umbrella with me if i go any distance from the house.

My nine perennials and 10 bulbs of Anemone coronaria "Mr. Fokker" have arrived from the Secret Gardening Club and they are all superb as usual.  Two of the Primus "Wanda" are in flower so I know I have a yellow one and a purple one.  It is a great variety for getting covered in flowers for a long season.

Hi Marion, I couldn't get to sleep last night, my own falt because a fell asleep for two hours on the couch so did a bit of reading before bed : ).

Well the weather stayed nice until 2.30, typical because I fished early at 2pm and thought I could wash the car : (

I have just come in from a beautiful evening out - a lovely meal followed by a splendid performance of "Abigail's Party" at the Kelvin Studio.  Much much better live than on the telly.  We had some rain early in the evening but it was dry when we came out though a bit colder than of late.  Perhaps the rain washed the car for you, flumpy?  i have never had a car so do not know if that works.

Just back from a Xmas lunch at the Beefeater in the Haymarket in Bristol.  It was quite splendid.  Long haul in the bus though.  The normally half hour journey took one and a half hours.  Only an hour and a quarter coming back. but too late to get any gardening done as it is now quite dark.  That is two days running I have not needed to cook.
