Oh TY Clarice.  I think my garden is the "Star" really for wearing so well under the onslaught of seven children and seven grandchildren and hundreds of their friends.  It is splendid example of how to age well.

Such a beautiful sunny morning and the forecast is the same for the whole of next week so all steam ahead in the garden now.  The pyracantha has never been so covered in blossom so the fruitful year continues.  The bees are reaping the benefit now so it will be covered in berries for the birds in a few months time.

I picked my first three ripe strawberries (huge) from Mr, fothergill's "Sweetheart" trials from last year and, with a handful of my own alpine strawberries (small) had them on my cereal.  It was just last week I finished the last box from the freezer from last year's crop.  The hebes have opened their buds this morning and the bushes are covered.

I have been eating greenhouse grown strawberries for a couple of weeks and yesterday I had my first allotment grown ones too- they are very much in danger of not making it home with me! The greenhouse ones don't even make it to the back door image

It is so nice to finally have some proper gardening weather, typically just as I go back to work!
