All done. No hot water until about 2am. Never mind.

Aah I remember my feelings as the plumber was taking a pickaxe to my beautiful silk oak flooring in the hall to get to the leak!  At least it was not going on outside in the dark!

I assume your new floor was just as nice when it was fixed.   These poor fellows had to manhandle the heavy heater under the house through a narrow door which is only about 4ft high  (the ground level under the house is about 5ft high).  Anyway, hopefully there are no more problems.  hubby was running back and forth with a hat that has lights on it. Needed to turn off water, power, etc.

I can still see where it was hacked when I polish it, thirty or so years on!  Glad it is all sorted.

Tonight at 8pm on ITV my sweet peas should be in a garden Alan Titchmarsh and his team are making for a young family in Dorset.    Do try and spot them.

I'm looking forward to watching that Marion, just curious, did you grow the sweet peas for him?.

Hope you having a lovely birthday Marion : )

Lots of cards and ecards, parcels and telephone calls;flumpy.  Two of my visitors are coming at the weekend to have a longer visit.  The assistant producer was asked to provide a large pot of sweet peas for the episode tonight but could not find any in any garden centre or nursery so she put out a cry for help on Facebook which I saw and answered.  She said they could collect anywhere between London and Dorset and as  am half way I sent her a picture and she sent a colleague with a van to collect it.  Sweet peas were the favourite flower of someone dear to the family who had just died.  Mine were Heritage variety and smelled delightful.

Some of my flowers, cards and presents.  I am sitting sipping lovely coffee made with ground coffee my friend sent me in the post as the courier delivered my myrtle tree from him.  He also sent a lovely card by the post as well as a musical ecard.  He is a firm believer in supporting the old ways!

The nightie from my daughter under the beautiful paperweight cum perfume bottle is the same colour as my damask tablecloth so I can now disappear by standing in my new nightie in front of the kitchen table!  No I have not been at my new bottles of wine.
