Awww Marion what a super photo, I so love to look back over family pics. My mum was brilliant at making up and updating family albums, all pics are dated and persons named. Many are over 100yrs old and like yours are hand painted. It's lovely sometimes to sit and flick through them and lose yourself in happy memories.
Wow Pat. Some of those white flowers are already in flower! Was there a list on the packet of what you might get or do they rely on you knowing? It was only 8degrees to get up to this morning as against 13 yesterday and i noticed so i am expecting to feel cold tomorrow as the 15 degrees forecast for this afternoon is only 10 tomorrow. I think I will get a thick cardigan ready. Time to ditch the summer clothes till next spring. But it was so lovely to see the sun again, it has been so dark and dull the last few mornings. I am expecting to get a lot done today outside. 50 tulips are parked on the kitchen table to be dealt with first.
Yes Lyn. I'm really struggling to decide whether to separate every seedling or just plonk clumps into the ground or into pots/tubs. I'd better decide soon though, they're really moving along.
Where has my lovely sunshine gone. I did not realise it was so dark till it started to rain as i was chopping up huge branches of buddlia into the green wheeliebin to be emptied tomorrow. This was not forecast. I hope abigail has not decoded to visit more of the country. Silene of course,Pat. Grows beautifully all round our coastline..
Another 60 tulips planted and the green wheeliebin full up. I picked up a big basketful of Bramleys then pulped them with cinnamon and they are now cooling before they go in the freezer. The house smells like Xmas. I filled my second basket with Bramleys and will turn them into three large apple crumbles to go in the chest freezer tomorrow. Harvest time is such a busy time.
I decided to change my avatar to my poodle's photo. I'm quite pleased with it.
We just had the most almighty clap of thunder right over the house in bright sunlight. Nearly scared the life out of us. I've taken a photo at the back of the house of the cloud that we hadn't seen looming.

Marion, get ready for a long lIst.
Low plants - phlox, candytuft, viola, silence, oenothera, chrysanthemum, dimorphoteca, and arctotis.
tall plants - cosmos, centrathus, malva, delphinium, gypsophila, helichrysum, nigella, salvia, and chrysanthemum species.
the packet was called Accent on White. Yates.
Gee whizz! Sounds so lovely. I hope you get at least one of each, especially the silence! Really struggling with that one but know all the others!
Darn spell checker! I'm sure you've guessed Silene.
Lovely photo Marion, I have some that were coloured in like that.
thats a gorgeous selection Pat, so many different seeds in one packet.
