You did well to get good pictures in that wind, it nearly blew me over image, i checked my sweet peas outside as I was worried with the weather being really bad, but they seem to be surviving image Thanks for the advice on the flowers Marion.

You did well Marion given the horrendous weather we are having. My chicken run is flooded on one side and the ton of wood chippings I had delivered is next to useless to go in there because it's got some sort of mould in it image

Its meant to be truly vile weather tomorrow afternoon image

Oh heck, Fruitcake.  Not good about your wood chippings.  Everything is very wet now.  Yes, i believe we are in for high winds again tomorrow.

Feels colder today and the wind is quite blustery despite the sun shining.  We must have had quite a lot of rain during the night as the garden is dripping wet and everything that can hold water has. Looks like a conservatory day again.

Steady rain in Bristol now and so cold and dark as night.  Duck pond forming now outside the kitchen so the soakaway must be overflowing, sign that the water table is high.  I am sure my paths are all pink with petals from the apple blossom now after such fierce winds. Pink garage roof from clematis montana, pink paths from apple trees, bluebells to go with the pink , I cannot complain.

Still very blowy out there but I planted my feet firmly on the ground, put my camera round my neck and managed to get past the fernery , through the poager and on into the butterfly garden.  i steered clear of the woodland walk and the spinney because of the risk of falling twigs and even branches.  Have to protect my camera.  I have already promise of a huge crop of strawberries, red and black currants, Conference pears and yellow plums.

Hi Marion, I think the pink blossoms look lovely and Remind me of confetti, the car park next to my chemist is surrounded by the blossom trees and so my car us Covered in them image But I don't mind. It looks better weather for you tomorrow and a little warmer, your garden looks lovely by the way, I love the way the path curves around the blossom tree image.

what are you up to tomorrow Marion?

Off to the Botanic Garden shortly with my camera.  It definitely is better weather today  as the wind has disappeared and it is dry and bright..  Watch this space for the treasures from the Botanic Garden that appear in May.
