Glad your back to yourself Marion (health wise) , my mum and dad have a all black cat called Simba she follows them over the field, honestly it's like walking a dog , it's dry here with out brakes of sunshine but warmer too, so I'm going to plant my sweet peas out today and hope for the best , Happy gardening Marion!
You too, flumpy. No frost for this week forecast. One more raised bed tidied this morning but some of the veg need watering despite the rain we have had so come in to make myself a flask of coffee as it looks like a long haul today.
I have exceeded my six hours today so need a rest now. The thought of the forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday kept me going. I looked up this week in my 2014 thread and it was on May7th last year when I had to put rocks and bricks in my pots to stop the wind toppling them and was nearly blown over myself doing it.
Thank you Marion, my husband made the trellis last year when we got new fence panels, he works in a builders merchant so he made the trellis himself, I bet your going to sleep well tonight, did you get through your list?
Good job I got through my list and more yesterday as today is very wet and windy so far. Your spring flower planter is looking a bit congested flumpy and when the primula heads need deadheading will be time to empty it and divide up the primulas - you should get 30 or so nice plants for the garden. If the bulb leaves have not all died down put them temporarily in a corner of the garden till they do if you want to dry the bulbs for next year or plant them "in the green" permanently quite deep in the garden to naturalise. End of May, beginning of June refresh your container with new compost and plant up with summer bedding plants or sow with a meadow of mixed annuals.
Braved the wind in between showers to get some very fresh air but took my camera along too. I have laburnum yellow rain dripping on orange kerria, dripping on purple lilac. The bluebells are establishing in my fernery as are the aquilegia but must try again with foxgloves which is what they have at Hidcote.

Well I've planted my sweet peas
And treated myself to two more plants
Well done, flumpy. Nice bit of trelliswork there! Lots of buds still to open on your new plants.
