Some "Cool Wave" I grew from seed are still flowering 13months after their first flush. Snow.  Very easy to do.

Yellow warning for Bristol as high winds expected from one o'clock till ten.  So it is into my rain coat and out battening down the hatches this morning.  Gales forecast for all over the country today so keep safe all you gardeners.  Better off in work or at home today.

Rain has started in Bristol so gave up picking up Bramleys.  Average weight is 12oz but the one on the top is a full pound.

Wow Marion, that's an apple and a half.  Your freezer will be full.

I have two freezers Pat - a chest one and a fridge-freezer.  Needs must when I was catering for a family of nine.  I have been out wedging plastic pots up against heavier terra cotta ones and putting anything that might blow away into the back part of the garage where our boat used to be in the winter.  Rain is constant now and it is dark as night and getting windier.  Barney seems to be on the way to Bristol.

  • I think barney is in bristol now Marion, coming home I was being blown all over the place and I'm not the lightest of people image I do hope that damage is minimal this evening, i will have to leave for work earlier to go and make sure the chicken run is still ok. I also hope that the brains fords don't have trouble with their Christmas display tonight, I've been watching them on Facebook and they've put an extraordinary amount of effort in so far.

I hope you and your garden stay safe image

Still very nasty out there Fruitcake.  I have not heard any trees crashing as yet.  It is supposed to die down about 10 tonight.  I expect i will have a lot of tidying to do tomorrow at least.  There will probably be half a wheeliebin of eucalyptus bark to pick up.
