Hi it's got lovely flowers Marion you garden will smell and look gorgeous , I'm just going to do the lawn now and tidy up the edges, I noticed some slugs had been near my sweet peas so I've put plenty pellets out
The shrub it was a cutting from flowers for nine months of the year the member who brought it told me, flumpy. It is nice to know the history of your plants if you do not grow them from seed.
Another bright warm day just right for gardening. List at the ready. The cold frame is full of tender plants from the conservatory which is making spaces for the tomato plants as they go into their big pots. I reckon I have cut down the mileage I do up and down my very long garden a great deal since I bought my wheelbarrow. The load I took up to the potager yesterday would have required three trips just carrying them.so I saved two. Good investment. I think I may have to save up for one of those kneelers cum stool contraptions. I feel sure that could cut down on my bending and make use of some more stretching instead as I weed. You have to get crafty as you grow ancient to make the best use of your body power.
I didn't get to do any gardening yesterday as I got migraine, but because I lay funny on the couch I'm now suffering with a strained muscle from my spine and across my shoulder blade, I can't look down or to the left, feel like rubbish : (, I'll be thinking of you in your garden Marion : )
The garden is soaking wet and rain forecast till lunchtime and heavy again this evening and for the next two days so the waterbutts will be filling up again. My soakaway is overflowing again so water table is high in my garden. Luckily with a garden all planted up so lushly and most of my paths permeable there is no danger of flooding. Interesting that the RHS are devoting Chelsea to the subject of flooding caused by concreted front gardens. I shall have a look at the first five show gardens today. Tidying in the conservatory is all i will be able to do in this weather.

Not too big as it is a shrub not a tree, The very old ones at the Botanic Garden are about 6 feet.

Bad weather forecast for tomorrow so snapped away up the garden this afternoon.
And remember the orchid I had given me at Xmas last year? Here it is on its last three flowers.
