Flumpy, you're right of course. I just hadn't expected it. The soup seems to have worked. When I told him what you said, he said he'd been thinking that as well. Refused panadol, though. He's currently sipping a ginger and lemon tea I made for him.
Ho he sounds like he had it bad pat, you look after him chuck .
well the weather stayed fine but windy until now more heavy rain and thunder, but I managed to get the lawn cut and barricaded everything down in time, my parents and brother came to visit too which was nice, cup of tea and a good old chin wag .
All swelling gone down after I watched the athletics with my feet up on the sofa! But it is so much fresher now I am sure it is my heart responding to that and pumping the blood round much more efficiently. I am having a cholesterol check-up in September so will mention it at the clinic then. I like to be sure I am managing my heart arrhythmia and its attendant problems properly. Sun is out now but more rain forcast for us this evening and all day tomorrow. We are on yellow alert for flooding from midnight.
Morning all 8.30 here. hubby said its been raining all night, but I haven't been out to check the gauge yet. still a bit dopy from sleep. Amazing how dark it all is with the clouds. feels like 6.30. Not sure what I'll tackle today. Open the GH, check the little propagator, wander around. Noticed late yesterday that the tomato seeds in the propagator are starting to shoot, so must make sure they don't dry out.
Yesterday's promise.
Marion I googled Bristol and had a look at the botanic gardens site, as well as your weather. Interesting. In my mind, I thought Bristol was down the bottom like Portsmouth (don't know why) but now understand some on your flooding worries. It all makes a sort of sense now, because my friends daughter who I made the baby clothes for, had lived on a house boat on the Avon somewhere and she often spoke of Bath. I think I can now get it into regional perspective. (Sort of). Hope you all have good weather days today. Back to work,Flumpy? Hope it's not too awful.
Been out to check rain gauge - 1.5 mil . That's 3 mm in three days. Hmmm.
checked my tomato seeds. There are four varieties that are poking their heads up. Red Grape, Yellow round, Large egg and a finger shaped red that I've developed over recent years. The last two are Italian style with very little seed. Mostly firm flesh And good flavour.
Marion, I meant to say that when you mentioned your new issue of GW mag. I checked my IPad, but not yet. I made a note of when it appeared last month and it was 25th, so I've got a couple of days to go yet. Hope it's a good one.
still misting outside - flannel shirt weather. Bye.
Been raining through the night here again. Garden very wet and forecast is rain for next five days so waterbutts should be full by then. No chance of any border work except from the paths.
I have just noticed a change in the way the pics are displayed and lots of them say the website is not available which means you cannot see the pic. It is still raining here but I will go and take a picture out the kitchen door and test it.
