  • I still haven't been to see them yet, despite my best friend only living around the corner image I have promised my nephew and niece that I'd take them to see them at some point this week image

Damp garden again this morning with puddles still left though it is brightening up now and dry forecast for all the rest of the day.  I should be able to get some planting and pruning done.  I will hone my talk this morning to make sure it is not too long.  Could job laptops have clocks on.

Marion just want to wish you luck for Friday with your talk and slide show, glad the weather as cleared up for you, it's been none stop for weeks here, everything is soggy and muddy.

Going out on a family Xmas doo Friday night so it's going to be a big rush straight after work but looking forward to it : )

My big Xmas grocery shop is coming tomorrow so getting fridge freezer and freezer organised to take it.  Ordering online is super.  I hate self - service so try to avoid big supermarkets but online is all done for you.  I will decorate the three Xmas cakes over the weekend.  I watered everything that needed it in the conservatory today.  The weather is unbelievably mild still.  TY for your good wishes flumpy.  I find making sure I know the name of all the plants I show and getting the timing right is a surefire hit.  Last year one lady announced loudly mine was the best they had had all year.  As I do not charge the treasurer must have been wondering why he wa paying out so much for the others in expenses and charges!

Pollution from the Sahara forecast today so will try to stay indoors as much as I can.  Plenty of cooking to get on with as one son and partner coming to supper tomorrow and another son coming on Saturday.  I have a few cards to take to the postbox but that is quite near.  Drier today and windier but so very mild.  Rain is forecast after lunch so that should help clear the pollution .  I can remember many years ago when my late husband found his cherished dark green Wolseley covered in red dust!  He was calling himself all the names for not putting it in the garage.

  • I drove past your street this morning Marion and it wasn't raining! I thought about popping in but didn't want to do so unannounced. I'm off work indefinitely now so will have time and hopefully the weather to pop in and say hello image

I can definitely feel the difference in air quality outside today so I shall be staying indoors now too

Hi Marion, glad your food shopping is on its way, it's very mild here too but showers on and off, we've not got a problem with pollution tho, hope you enjoy tomorrow which I'm sure you will Marion : ).

Somebody wanted some Scots Pine for Xmas decorations and helped themselves from my front garden last night.  The tree is right beside the street light but so is my very prickly Japanese Quince and  i am afraid that person might have been spiked as there were boughs off the pine tree strewn all around the drive!  We have lots of visitors every night to see the  Brentry lights who have to leave their cars in our road as next road has signs up to stop the cars except for residents.  I could not see any blood on the drive so perhaps it was only pricks.

  • Flumpy I'm so looking forward to finally meeting Marion and her gardens image

Quite frankly Marion, I hope your garden intruders did hurt themselves, it would serve them right for doing it on the sly. I have to drive up that way probably tonight and tomorrow night so it's good to know they've practically closed the road
