His rose called Lady of Shalott is superb apricot colour.  i have just picked two large bowls of strawberries and a smaller bowl of blackcurrants so will need to get freezing again.  A collar dove which is very tame was too close for comfort for the blackcurrants so will fleece them tonight in case he gets there tomorrow morning before i do.  i do have red berries which birds love on my amelanchier tree nearby which he may prefer.  They are much sweeter than blackcurrants.

    Good morning Marion.

Lady of Shalott is already on my shopping list for our visit to Suffolk and East Sussex in July. I thought she would go nicely with my Lady Emma Hamilton.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

My bird population not only finds my garden the Ritz for food but Paris for love making.  My huge eucalyptus is full of birds having an orgy as well as all the nut trees.  Watering all done and so took it easy to get my breath back taking pics.

Middle of June and my bungalow is marooned in the middle of a sea of flowers.

No. rain forecast till Monday and 20 degrees promised by the weathermen so harvesting and watering at top of agenda in the garden.  The English women footballers ran out of stamina at the end of their 90 minutes again last night and conceded a late goal to Columbia but still it was another victory so they are through to the knock out stage.  They are in Canada which has very nutritional food so it cannot be their diet to blame but perhaps the climate is a bit punishing.  Their opponents, Norway, on Saturday may have the edge there.  Interested to read what the Pope has to say about climate change today.  i bet he does not mention the effect on football.

My sister who lives near Moncton in New Brunswick where some of the football is being played says it is really warm now and sent me a pic of her thyme.

Click on the pic to see it the right way up, flumpy.  Our weather is perfect today, sunny, dry and warm.
