Hi everyone, Marion hope your have a lovely day with your visitors and hope you're having better weather than us up north : ), lovely pictures by the way.

It's our 7th Anniversary today, my mum and brother came round with a big yellow chrysanthemums, can't wait to plant it : )
  • Happy anniversary to you both.  Love to see a pic of your new chrysanthemum, flumpy.  I have nearly finished cleaning out the conservatory - my goodness there were lots of spiders with their webs.  It has been a nice day today but next week does not have a good press weatherwise.

Hi Flumpy. I've been wondering where you have been. I assumed you've been worn out from work. The chysanths look lovely. I love bright colours, mind you I'm pretty impressed with the coloured Marion's little blue violas. As GWRS saod, the photos are always good to see.   Happy anniversary Flumpy and Hubby.image

  • Another lovely sunny day has dawned in Bristol but forecast is for rain on the way.  I should get the conservatory cleared and clean today and will take a "before" picture and start putting three or four tender plants in every day from now on.  Some of my new plants will go into the cold frame or a sheltered position near the house for the winter so I can keep an eye on them.  The plugs I am growing on will be planted out at the end of October or thereabouts depending on the weather. They are all growing away nicely now.  Come November I will pot up my new tulips for the spring display and get all my leek and kale plants out in the potager for the winter.  There is a good article on houseplants which purify the air by James Wong in the Guardian this morning so I am going to dot those round the house as well as in the conservatory.  Should have lots of oxygen !

I'm trying to get over Marion's energy. She leaves me for dead. My meagre efforts today was hardly worth reporting, but theweather was lovely - maybe a bit too warm, but a good change from the past few months.

hope your work settles down image

Hi Pat, don't forget you've just been poorly, you will get there chuck, glad the weather is waing up for you, at least you can get in the garden now, the sun seems to of disappeared here and gone grey, but as long as the rain stays away I'm happy : )
  • Little and often is my motto, Pat.  Here is the cleaned out conservatory which was stuffed full of tomatoes a few weeks ago. And part of the queue of tender plants waiting to be taken in before the frost.
