No I didn't, Marion, although I knew about it. There wasn't time for everything. The first couple of days OH had to go to choir practice, then there was the Concert.
I hope you enjoy the talk, I'm sure you will.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I put the first 2litre ice cream carton full of strawberries in the freezer today and picked another bowlful tonight so full glut on I also had to water lots of pots and the water butts are depleted again. But the weather is just right for pruning and weeding so must not grumble at the extra work.
I took these pictures with my mobile, Rivington Pike is a very big area, it was Lord Lever who owned the park many years ago, there are two big Barnes in which they hold venues but on Sundays you can have a meal there, my mum and dad discovered it when I was ten.
just watching Richard Attenborough, I love watching his programmes
I am sure it is a lovely hole, flumpy. I met Richard Attenbourgh in London once when I was in my teens so the announcement of his death was another contemporary of mine leaving a void. His autograph fills a page of my old autograph book. It is very dull and humid in Bristol this morning so I may take some time off gardening to watch tennis and Woman's Football on the TV. I will see how the humidity affects me when I get out there to pick strawberries. In the meantime here are some pics from my friend's tiny garden in inner city Bristol. It always amazes me how many lovely plants he can grow and how well.
I've crawled back out of my hole now ha, you've got a piece of history there, you can treasure that.
Your friends garden is very colourful, are the bottom two pictures roses?.
It's very dull and humid here too Marion, looks like it must of rained in the night, going to visit dad for his Birthday today, we are going for a meal at the weekend with family : )

Flumpy you were watching David Attenburgh - his brother the actor Richard has died. That was a lovely program about the flightless birds.
