The Paris situation upset me today. I know there's not much can be done about it, but it's so sad and unnecessary. All that death and trauma!  Anyway, dwelling on it won't make it go away. Best to think about our lovely gardens and our own peaceful places. Good night all. Time for bed for me.

I've just caught up on the posts and am a bit gobsmacked at the hail in your garden Marion. Hope you haven't lost anything precious. On second thoughts, you took all your tender plants into your conservatory some time ago, so they are probably OK.  Catch you all in your tomorrow.

Very windy in Bristol this morning and garden is strewn with toppled pots but none broken as far as I can see.  It must have been very trying at the funeral in such weather flumpy.  I do not expect any visitors in such weather as we have today.

Yes it was Marion, we where all chattering our teeth and huddling up to each other to keep warm, the two grand children let balloons off with messages on them to Grandad and the sun came out for two mins, it was my hubby's uncle who had passed away, such a jolly person and would help anyone, he will missed : (

I am sure, flumpy.  My friend who has the worst cold he has ever had in his long life still found the strength to take a picture of the roses in his garden yesterday and sent me an ecard celebrating autumn.

Awe tell him they are gorgeous Marion, is he the one with the small garden? : )

Yes a small garden packed with the most beautiful flower.  He has had two ops on his nose recently which has pulled him down but he does not know when to stop.  He went uo to London for two lunches with friends and a broadcast with the BBC and was not really well enough to be out of bed.  I know how delightful his presence in a company is so would not like to deprive other people but I wish sometimes I could pin a label on his back saying "Please stay away if you have a cold".
