Much calmer this morning and brighter with small ptches of blue sky here and there.  A quick early morning safari retrieved the lighter ornaments that had been blown some distance and righted the pots some quite big that had been toppled.  There is a massive amount of tidying to do.  High winds forecast for this afternoon again so must get started.  It feels very mild indeed out there.

My goodness I have worked up quite a sweat.  It is like high summer out there - the green wheeliebin is nearly full up with eucalyptus bark that was peeled off by the storm and strewn everywhere.  I have only done a tiny fraction of the paths but need an early coffee break with some of my cinnamon Welsh cakes i made yesterday!  It is so good to have a change from digging out blackberry roots though!

I thought it expedient to come in after another hour's sweaty work as it has suddenly gone cold and windy and getting darker by the minute.  And I am still trying to dry the wet clothes from my two consecutive days of getting drenched.  I may treat myself to some flowers from the garden for the house later as it is lovely that they have survived Barney and Abigail.

Just before the rain started I managed to pick hellebores, hypericum, hebe, spirea and campanula and arranged them in the gloom to brighten up my kitchen.

Hello , very nice flower arrangement

You seem to have had a bad time weather wise , hear in Lincoln we seem to have got off lightly

Tomorrow is forecasted to be a nice day , hoping to do some jobs in the Garden image

The wind is still very strong tonight in Bristol GWRS,  It is going to be quite cold at the weekend so best to do what needs doing in the garden tomorrow.

Another very wet morning and on for all day according to the forecast but the wind has dropped away and it is not cold yet.  Too wet to work outside so I shall just potter in the conservatory.

Lovely bouquet, Marion. Isn't it nice to have flowers from the garden?

I usually leave mine to grace the garden, fidget, but when the weather means I must spend more time indoors I bring some in to cheer me.  Roses are great - nothing seems to harm them much and they just keep on flowering till Xmas in Bristol usually.  But yesterday I had a huge bunch before I even reached the roses.
