I am still enjoying this programme even though last nights ideas were a bit wacky. We are all different and it is interesting to see what other people get up to. The only criticism I have is the voice and delivery of the narrator which is really annoying me. Looking forward to tonight.
I must admit the self sufficient woman was abit scatty and Monty did give her a stern talking to, but she pulled it off in the end. I do agree with Digger about the other family. Looking forward to tonights programme and if BBC2 are listening to their viewers, they need to get a different narrator. Her voice doesn't 'gel' with the programme. Perhaps they should use Alys Fowler or another garden presenter. I hope this series isn't a one-off.
I agree Gardenmaiden, hope its not a one-off. Would be also good to see a re-visit to the gardens a year or so later to see if they have made any changes, if so, why, what worked, what didnt, have they become keener gardeners, have they 'let things go'.

I frequently think a re-visit to most garden make-overs, 3 years on, would be interesting. So often gardens are 'given' to people who've shown little previous interest in gardening, and if they don't take part in the design and planting of the new garden how on earth are they to be expected to maintain it?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
just watched the second one, much better, found it more realistic, could see where the money was spent, loved the lady with the roses too....that will be me tomorrow (well, if mum treats me!)
am just watching the third one, annoyed how people just rip things up or destroy things that could be recycled. i do like that tiny welsh garden, im interested to see how they will change such an odd space, and swapping eggs for plants is delightful!
Narrators in general always repeat, I find that more irritating. Its as though there isn't enough material to fill the time so they pack it out with recaps. Even so, its a breath of fresh air to watch it.

ooh i forgot that WHO is that awful narrator?! my 3 year old sounds much better!
I like the programmes for all the reasons already said above. I am just not sure about all the pebbles. Have pebbles become the decking of old?
The narrator has me guessing but she sounds like a member of countryfile team
A young blonde ?
Agree that last night's was probably the poorest so far . Would not encourage me to have big dreams gardening wise. Perhaps Pipe ones .

agree hope more to come, no, the narrator doesn't 'fit' does she?
