Flowers all look great, you would look lovely on my table SGL.  I have real jug envy and the moment, the blue one looks really good next to the birdies and I love the terracota one, right up my street.

The door looks fab BM much better than UPVC and I love the colour of that lobelia.

Obelixx hope you are feeling OK following the op.  I wonder if you are male or female, I have you as a male in my head but maybe I'm wrong.

I'm female!  The feet ops were last year but it meant a whole year off gardening and starting gently this spring.   I can now walk my dogs and do a full day in the garden when I have the opportunity but I can't do swivels and pivots when dancing solo so no more line dancing.  Ballroom and salsa are OK though.

Couldn't do any crafty stuff last year either so no furniture painting but I did get a lot of embroidery done and took up patchwork and even had a go at knitting in winter.

Sorry bm, I never replied to your post a few days ago, yes, we should have lessons at artjaks! And artjaks, what is that amazing rose in the last picture, the cottage garden bouquet?beautiful. Gave a strong desire for a stable door for our kitchen to back garden , one day when I have time I'll find one and get it to fit....!

The label has faded on that rose, but it is a climber from rosebuddies.com

imagethank you Beaus Mum, good morning, image

In spite of the rainy weather I've been looking at gardens in the area, a 'home holiday'.  Not many photos but can recommend Woolerton Old Hall Gardens, excellent web site with photos just like the garden. Check out their front garden! my tablet camera couldn't do it justice.

The hydrangea has taken a beating from the rain  image  the photo on the 'star...' thread shows how much. Although their colours are softer shades now there is still one or two blue left. Had to stake them  - more rain to come.

On the plus side the grass  is  greener, the rugosa has more hips...changing seasons  image
