Darn it! I forgot about the nettle tea, will take a bucket up next time I go there's bound to be more to 'harvest' after this rain. Thanks for the reminder gina
No, I will get a shed constructed for me GWRS. Not in too much of a hurry as want to paint it before it's assembled, unless I can get one from the site - several plots being given up so keeping watch on those. At the moment I'm storing my essential tools in my kind neighour's shed in return for all the raspberries he can eat - which have strayed onto his plot!
Yes with the greenhouse going on Saturday to take it down then bring it home for a while till plot ready - 5.5 feet by 7.5 feet big and a free potting table which is great
Now have a dilemma with the fact I spotted one free greenhouse on gumtree emailed no reply for ages till late - then spotted the other one in between for free - getting that one
The first person which was going to get the other greenhouse can now not have it as not allowed a glass greenhouse on their allotment site
Me being second on the list that contacted them have now been offered that one as well 6 by 8 feet - unsure what to do - can I fit 2 greenhouse on my plot
Whatever you do, upon arrival to collect, take photos! Take them of the joins on the inside, on the outside, where the supporting struts are, everything. it'll help enormously when putting back together. Another tip is to use a washable marker to number the panes of glass then scrabble together a quick drawing to match so you know which pane goes where.
WD40, Vaseline, long and short nosed pliers, a screwdriver and a bucket will be your friend, as will gloves
I still have loads of seedlings and young plants in mine GG, tomatoes, Aubergines and peppers do well under glass, plus cuttings etc. My greenhouse and poly tunnel are both packed out at the momentGlass Greenhouse is at home, and the poly tunnels at the plot.
You could use a bit of masking tape, and number that instead of ink, if your not sure it will come off I managed to get my frame home in one piece, they kindly delivered it on the back of a trailer, saved us hours of messing about reassembling. Make sure the base you put it on is dead level wherever they end up, and its anchored down, make sure you get the bolts to do that.
Gardengirl , I paid £20 for my greenhouse at the allottment last year but the chap took it down and delivered it to the A
my self , nephew and brother in law put it up , I bought wooden posts which I screwed the base onto , in side I put a membrane down , gravel and small slabs down the middle but because we then acquired the other half of our A we left the glazing , hoping to do it this bank holiday
A couple of people on our site have got grapevines in thiers and I might do that not decided yet
GWRS did you put a pic on here sometime with the frame of your greenhouse
Hope the weather is nice for the weekend
Well we emailed a little while back today about the second greenhouse and someone picked it up this afternoon was going for 2 in then end not sure what happened there as we were in contact with them - saves a trip to Bournemouth
So one greenhouse for my plot and taking it all apart Saturday which is brill as free and the table
Been to the allotment today dug half a metre had a look around the plot for sizes of bits

Garden Girl, you can never have too many greenhouses.(a bit like shoes!!)
what do you have in your greenhouses? are they on your allotment plot?
Fruitcake thanks for the tips
do you think a garden marker is ok - it says water and fade resistant - alcohol based ink
Going to contact council to see if allowed 2 gh first - still not sure but need to decide
