GWRS you could grow the radishes into tubs that should be fine, have you thought about making a cover for the ones you grow in the ground it could be bugs attacking it from above
think you can get yellow, white, purple beetroot multi coloured, me still don't do well with growing beetroot they don't grow well 1- 2 cm big not sure why, this year grew them too late
My radishes looked like mice had been at them, a suspicion more or less confirmed when we pulled the wooden composer apart and two of them scuttled out
hi Gardengirl, not really, I was told to expect a wait of several weeks. However, I have recently spoken to some people on another site, a car drive away, and have been told that the reason there are so few on the site I want to go to, is that they are afraid it will be sold off for housing. This wouldn't be the first time for this particular site. Consequently the place is being run down. It has that look to it, just a very few people hanging on, not really doing much.
I've been to the other site, it's nice, but a bit too far for me. So, we shall see, I shall find out more in due course. Thanks for asking again.
Mine was looking good last night- I came home with some spuds and sweetcorn and the last of the beetroot which will be pickled today or tomorrow. As more space becomes available, I'm thinking about what can go in it's place

The single white beetroot was probably a seed that got intoi the wrong packet. First time I had one I thought it was a new mutant!
Fruitcake you could put wire under if in a raised bed, maybe you need to fence your plot all round
normally slugs that eat my stuff
Any one got any pics of there plot yet
Salino any news about your plot?
