Thank you Gardengirl weeeeeeeelllllllllll I'm the proud owner of an ALLOTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooooooooooo excited! only managed a couple of photos and will upload them in a bit
Sorry about the blurry one, I tried to blur my son out a bit. I even get a shed on it!!!! The warden is lovely and I can plant whatever we want as long as at least 60% is used and we can park on part of it if we wanted. My eldest is very excited and has decided he wants to grow sunflowers, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes, bless him
Stagbeetle great plot looks like a nice sized one, nice to have a shed with a shelter, Later on good if you can make a seating area - glad you have got a plot with out very high weeds now time to plan plan plan and clear and dig bit by bit remember
A good thing is to take a picture in the same place ever so often so you can see what has been done
It is the year of the sunflower have a competition with him see who can grow the biggest or get the first flower out
Q for all when you go to see a plot that has been offered How long did you spend looking around the plot offered?
We look around the plot for about 5mins whilst the warden discussed things but he then wanted to walk me around the whole site showing me what could be done and giving me lots of ideas which I thought was great. He also said we couldnot have chickens but I could have a beehive if I passed the course so that's something I will look into for the future. He also discussed that they have foxes and birds can be a problem so will need netting. we can also have a barbecue
Lots of planning Gardengirl, and seating area is a must as well as compost bins.
That sounds like the warden is really helpful - make sure you check out the sunniest bit for the seating area so nice to sit there all year round, barbecue that sounds good I can come for that bit right nice lot of burgers
Is a warden a person that regally checks the site?
Stagbeetle Thanks you, so does that mean you can pop over to the wardens plot and ask for tips or advise any time when he is there - if not to pee him off when he is busy
I will contact the council part way in March to see if I have moved on the list from 8th hope so, sure there are plots that need some care - will have to go there again some time to look around the shop and the plots
It's been dry and sunny here today, went down to the plot and finished off the area were the shed once stood. It's all barked and has a compost area with three black bins now. Also rescued an old fold up garden table from a skip, it's in need of some TLC but I can see it now with a new coat of paint

The seating area and bbq might be the most important part
the warden has several very lovely plots there and well maintained which is fab.
hooe you don't have wait too long for your allotment Gardengirl and yes of course you will have to come to the BBQ
