Caral , would suggest if you put shed on pallets put some chicken wire around base to stop little furry creatures moving in image

off to the allotment later and cover the peas with netting if they are up and do some more digging.

yup very pleased with the process and now it feels like ours. I'm going to put a wanted ad for a picnic table on free cycle. Stated runner beans and sweetcorn in pots so will start prepping trenches got the runner beans.

Fruitcake- I would be cross too at those comments too. I'd hate to share a shed.

Mr Stagbeetle has said yes to chicken!!!!!!! image Well bantams, so excited, although these won't be on the allotmen.

No doubt the first of many fruitcakeimage.

Cut flowers are a good idea, is anyone growing them on their plot. I've gladioli and dahlias to plant out. Plan to add foxglove and lupins for next year. Only two sweet pea plants but more to sow and you can't not grow sunflowers in the year of the sunflower. Sowed a tray last week.

Zoomer, I have made the area near my shed a  flower border , I've got hollyhocks, foxgloves, aquelegia, campanulas and daffs. Ive put an arch up to grow my apple trees over and have planted some sweet peas there. Should look nice in the summer. I like my plot to look pretty as well as functional! (husband thinks I'm nuts)image I have sown some sun flowers and marigolds too.
